I am based out of Lincoln, Nebraska. My approach to photography is about emotion and real life. I take honest and genuine photos and I love to document your life with an unscripted point of view. I want to photograph you keeping it real; interacting with your loved ones and embracing life as it is in all of its loveliness and beautiful imperfection. This is what you will want to remember one day.

Whether you are hiring me for you wedding day, or to document a day-in-the-life of your family, I take a photojournalistic approach and will work very hard to make sure you have unique, creative photos to last for your forever.

Ashton and Jill found out the fun way that if they joke around about taking photos in a small town car wash that I will likely make them do just that!  This couple was so fun, down-to-earth and easy going for their session.  We met in Walton, took a handful of photos on the MoPac trail and then hopped in my car and hit the backroads looking for the nice light and interesting places.  At one point we did have to take a short break to look for my dropped keys in the middle of a field and they were probably a little more chill about that than I was.  This couple was Totally into each other and I’m so excited for their wedding this October!

Ben and Dana were the first couple that booked me when I started photographing weddings, and my last wedding of the season last year.  They have a special place in my heart for this reason, but mostly I just adore them because they are so obviously into each other.  The way that they joke around and make each other laugh had me smiling on their wedding day, during the editing process and even as I was putting this blog post together.  The bride’s laugh is one of those laughs that makes you join in, even if you don’t get the joke!  The lovely couple got married in Ashland and the reception was held at the Air & Space Museum.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Anderson!

Am I the luckiest photographer, or what?!  Another awesome couple who went slipping and sliding and tromping through snow and mud and down embankments into rivers.  Seriously, the BEST clients ever!!  JT and Maggie were so fun and so in love and the snow and trees at Platte River State Park made such a beautiful, intimate backdrop for their engagement shoot.  They kissed and hugged and danced and even got a little crazy and chest bumped and didn’t fall on their rears in the snow.  I could tell from the session that their May wedding will be a blast and I’m super excited!

Congratulations JT & Maggie!

I’ve been waiting for FOREVER to have it do something like rain or snow on a shoot day. I think most people would have the natural urge to postpone, but I personally think that inclement weather is the PERFECT opportunity to get amazing and unique shots. Tyler and Kristin were totally up for it! We started out the shoot at their favorite coffee house, Cultiva with some lattes and a special crepe with a chocolate heart. After getting all cozy and warm, we decided to head out to Wilderness Park to take advantage of the beautiful, softly falling snow. I really couldn’t have asked for a prettier day and the most amazingly natural couple to photograph on a day like this. It was so obvious the love and passion that these two have for each other.  I am incredibly excited to photograph their wedding this coming August!  Congratulations Tyler & Kristin!!!

Right before I became a professional, full-time photographer, I worked part time at Nelnet making calls to customers about their student loans. This gorgeous soon-to-be bride was my awesome supervisor and one of the reasons that I didn’t hate that job, so I was beyond thrilled when she contacted me to be her wedding photographer! As far as couples go, I seem to have the best, most adventurous-willing-to-do-whatever-I-ask-them-to-do types. Jaron and Mindy were no exception. We drove around the countryside, stopping here and there to take advantage of some great lighting . . . and when I saw a bridge over a frozen river, they didn’t hesitate to scramble down the enbankment so that I could get some amazing shots of them!!  I couldn’t be happier for Jaron and Mindy and am so excited for their wedding in April!  Congratulations Jaron and Mindy!!!
